The Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) program provides short-term cash assistance to ORR-eligible individuals as they pursue employment and self-sufficiency. This assistance is only available to ORR-eligible individuals who are within the income eligibility standards and ineligible for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).

Refugee Support Services assist refugees in their resettlement to the United States through an array of services designed to promote self-sufficiency and meaningful integration. These include employability services, English Language Instruction (ELI), case management, services to older refugees, refugee youth mentoring, and more, focused on clients’ first sixty months (approximately five years) in the United States.

(RMA) provides eligible participants up to 12 months of health insurance coverage mirroring TX Medicaid. To be eligible for RMA, you must be in an ORR-eligible category and ineligible for Medicaid. The goal is to promote individual health by providing vaccinations, testing for certain diseases, and conducting an overall physical health assessment. Through the process, you will also be connected to ongoing health care with a primary care physician and referred to specialists who can assist with acute symptoms. supports activities that improve the health and wellbeing of refugees and other ORR-eligible populations by

1.  providing opportunities to increase health literacy,
2. Coordinating health care, and
3. Organizing wellness groups.

In FY24, there are 12 RHP subgrantees working with people in any ORR-eligible category.
